  • Business name and contact details you enter in the app
  • Product names, prices, and inventory data you create
  • Sales transactions and shift records you generate

  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • IP address and general geographic region
  • Pages visited and features used (analytics)

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Paper Kites service
  • To process Pro subscription payments via Stripe
  • To send transactional emails (receipts, account notices)
  • To respond to support requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. Local Storage

The free tier of Paper Kites stores all your sales data, products, and shift records locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete it.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — to process subscription payments
  • Analytics providers — anonymised, aggregated usage data only
  • Law enforcement — when required by applicable law

5. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. On cancellation you may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@paperkitespos.com. Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise any right, contact us at support@paperkitespos.com.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the app is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Children's Privacy

Paper Kites is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of Paper Kites after changes constitutes your acceptance.
